How to be a topper in school
To be a topper in exams obviously you have to be a regular reader. Difference between topper & common student lies between how much he/she keeps on revising/practicing topics on a daily basis.
Almost everybody
can become toppers ,if only they want to.
A very strange but true fact is that average
students think that they can score good
marks with even very less amounts of studying, which leads to the down fall.
I can give you a glimpse of the preparation
strategy.
The Three key ideas are
1. Motivation.
Yes,
Strong Motivation is the first step to achieve. but try to follow in this order
Action →
Inspiration → Motivation.
2. Hard work!
Spend as much time
as possible with the stuff you want to be good at. Which is equivalent to
saying WORK HARD. As simple as that. Anyone will state you this one single fact
in different ways. But its ultimately hard work.
Nothing can be
achieved without hardwork because there are
no shortcuts to success. There is
absolutely no substitute for it.
3. Schedule your
time!
Strategically
planning and sticking to the plan. Constantly look at your mistake and try not
to repeat them again. We learn more from our own mistake than anything else.
Other than that
have a note on the following tips also!
Make notes!
Let it be science
or commerce or humanities, simplifying 10 lines of the book into 2-3 lines in
your own words will help immensely.
Presentation Matters!
It’s also about impressing the examiner. Neat,
clean answer sheets automatically cheer up the examiners mood and you may get
away with a few errors here and there.
Underline important
stuff. Keywords, phrases, examples etc. The examiners evaluate dozens of answer booklets everyday,
they mostly skim through. Hence try to catch their attention.
Read read and re
read the chapters!
Learn important
phrases and lines and use them in your answers. It gives a very good
impression. . Stick to basic but correct english.
